Bunny World Foundation Exposed - Grooming

Bunny World Foundation's so-called "Grooming Workshops" are FOR-PROFIT power-trips for the sociopathic owner that are ABUSIVE towards rabbits.

1. FOR PROFIT

BWF charges $45 per person to attend their “grooming workshops run by “professionals” and $60.00 per hour if they groom your rabbit for you. These fees apply to volunteers and fostering parents as well. BWF groomers “spend” about 2-4 hours grooming your rabbit, so the total cost is up to $240.00 per rabbit.

BWF claims that they are undercharging and that the cost of a veterinarian grooming your rabbit would be much more. Even if this is true, this is an unfair comparison. First of all, BWF “professional groomers” don’t have any qualifications at all- they are just more experienced volunteers that are in the good graces of BWF’s owner. Secondly, places such as Bunny Bunch Boutique and Furry Tails Grooming Salon & Spa offer comparable services at much lower rates. ($80.00 and $60.00 respectively). Finally, BWF uses volunteers' homes for the grooming events, and everyone brings their own brushes and combs, so they have little to no overhead cost.

The only conclusion that makes sense? These “workshops” are solely for the profit of BWF’s sociopathic owner.

2. ABUSIVE

These grooming session are unnecessarily long and stressful for the rabbits. BWF’s sociopathic owner is extremely rough while grooming the rabbits. She wants to rip off as much fur as possible because an independent organization collects it from her. Many people have reached out to me in private to discuss how stressed out and hurt their rabbits were after undergoing BWF grooming workshop.

There are no qualified veterinarians or reputable sources (such as House Rabbit Society) that say rabbits owners should spend 2-4 hours every 6-8 weeks brushing their rabbits. During the grooming sessions, the owner exaggerates the possibility that lack of brushing can cause GI stasis. However, she twists this truth for a very specific purpose. If a foster rabbit has a medical emergency, the owner tries to blame it on lack of brushing so that BWF is not responsible for the medical bills.

The real victims of these grooming workshops are the rabbits:
