The fostering and adoption contracts that BWF has its volunteers sign are highly one-sided and heavily in favor of the organization. Let’s break it down.
Visitation Rights
By signing the BWF Foster Agreement, you are allowing the sociopathic owner, or any of her minions, to enter your home at ANY time, without notice.
Additionally, when the sociopathic owner is inevitably displeased with your hard work and decides to sue you, YOU are responsible for paying for HER LAWYER.

UNLIMITED Power and Discretion
Both the Foster and Adoption Contracts give BWF’s sociopathic owner extremely high amounts of discretion as to charging unsuspecting volunteers fees or forcing them to give up their rabbits for any arbitrary reason (even after you have adopted a rabbit, BWF can reclaim at any time).
Ridiculous clause from the BWF Adoption Agreement- “just in case our contract isn’t one-sided enough, we can make stuff up so that you actually do violate the terms of the agreement.”
Clause from BWF’s Fostering agreement - “all matters pertaining to the care of rabbits shall be determined solely under BWF’s SOCIOPATHIC OWNER.”
EXTREMELY Demanding
Both BWF Contracts, especially the Foster Contract, demand that volunteers follow unnecessarily long and expensive procedures solely because the sociopathic owner doesn’t want to do anything differently.
In addition to a rabbit having a MEDICAL emergency, you must complete these unnecessarily long steps because BWF sucks at responding to the needs of its volunteers.
In other words, grooming alone will cost volunteers up to $1,480.00 PER YEAR. Additionally, how exactly would BWF know that the GI stasis is CAUSED by insufficient brushing? Of course the sociopathic owner is going to say that it is because she does not want to pay for the vet bills.
And if you can’t put up with BWF’s sociopathic manipulator of an owner any more…
It is almost impossible to give the rabbits back to BWF. Attending adoption events EVERY week? A $30.00 per day boarding fee until the rabbits are adopted (which could be YEARS)? Return of foster rabbits ONLY at a specific location on Sundays? Additionally, the entire time you are trying to return the rabbits, you have to deal with snide and unprofessional remarks from the sociopathic owner.
BWF’S threats are not empty. They WILL sue you!
BWF’s sociopathic owner DID file a lawsuit against a volunteer in 2017.
